When you try to download your account transaction, Quicken shows an error and won't download it. Let's go through a few rectifying steps to fix this problem.
● Download the current Quicken version
● Refresh your accounts details
● Mark and rectify the Quicken file
● Uninstall and install the Quicken

Step 1: Make sure you have the latest release of Quicken
First of all, open Quicken, then go to Help and click on Check for Updates.
If your Quicken is not up to date then you will receive a notification to install the current version.
Click Yes to start the installation.
Step 2: Refresh your account details
Firstly, go to account bar and click on the account facing this error.
Now, on the top right icon, click on Update Now (Ctrl+Alt+U).
Next, enter your bank’s password and click on Update Now.
Step 3: Validate and Repair the Quicken file
Go to File, then select File Operations and then Validate and Repair.
Check the Validate File box and then click on Ok.
After that, Quicken will start validating your file.
Once the process is completed, you will find a DATA_LOG notepad.
Step 4: Deactivate and Reactivate your account
Follow the steps given below to deactivate the account:
Firstly, go to Tools then go to Account List (Ctrl+A).
Now, click on Edit for which quicken not downloading transactions.
Choose the Online Services tab, then click on Deactivate and Ok.
For reactivating the account, follow these steps:
Go to Tools then go to Account List (Ctrl+A).
Now, click on Edit for the account you have deactivated.
Choose the Online Services tab and then click on Set up Now.
You will be prompted to a screen where you need to enter your bank’s username and password.
After that, click on Connect.
Quicken will display your account details, ensure that you LINK your account rather than adding it.
Lastly, click on Next.
Step 5: Make a new Quicken file
Now, you have to make a new Quicken file to make sure that your account is being downloaded in it. If the download is done in a new file then it indicates that the old or primary Quicken file has got corrupted.
The first step is, go to File then select New Quicken File.
Click Ok and Save the file with an identifiable name.
Then enter your Quicken ID & Password when prompted.
Click on Sign in, then you will get a 6-digit code on your phone to verify your Quicken account.
Enter the code and click on Next.
Quicken will ask to sync your mobile. If yes, then select Use Mobile and if not then select Don’t use Mobile.
Click on Next and then click on Add Account.
Now, select the type of account and choose your bank from the list.
Finally, enter the Username & Password and click on connect.
